Capstone Mining Corporation
Capstone Mining Corporation is a Canadian based metals mining company with remote mines located in the Yukon Territory, Canada, Chile and yet another in Mexico. They also manage additional exploration properties. The company was using an outdated Enterprise Resource Planning system with remote connections into their Yukon site which severely hampered accurate and efficient reporting on mine production. By switching over to a Sage ERP solution, the mining company consolidated their financials and automated reporting.
Minera Yanacocha, a large gold mine, is located in the Peruvian Andes. With five open pit mines, four leach pads and four gold recover plants the mine operates a huge fleet of trucks and moves approximately 1megaton of ore per day. They needed a system that would provide greater visibility on their costs, identify areas of risk and optimize their maintenance strategy.
